Depending on your symptoms, specific massage techniques are utilised to improve blood circulation, enable joint mobility and aid the natural repair of damaged tissue. All treatments are tailored to your specific symptoms and individual needs. Treatments range from gentle massage techniques aimed to relax or energise, to deeper soft tissue massage to relieve muscular tension, manage pain and aid injury recovery.

REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Remedial massage therapy is a targeted, deeper form of soft tissue massage for the relief of chronic tensions, stiffness or pain.
Effective relief for sciatica, neck/shoulder pain, headaches, lower back, RSI, muscular injuries and other muscle related conditions.
RELAXATION
A gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping to help relax and energize you — A great way to help body and mind relax and unwind.
Effective relief for anxiety & stress.

SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage therapy is a deeper form of soft tissue massage, which uses specific techniques to relieve aches and pains. It incorporates a wide range of techniques including trigger point therapy.
Effective for sport injury recovery and on- going preventative maintenance. Great for athletes and non-athletes alike.
THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE THERAPY
Massage therapy is a wonderful way to release muscle tensions and aid the natural repair of the body. It can help provide pain relief, restore balance and body alignment, increase mobility, eliminate toxins and help the healing of injuries as well as an effective injury prevention.Massage therapy can:
- Reduce stress and anxiety by relaxing your body, encouraging the release of those natural ‘feel-good’ endorphins,
- Boost your immune system by increasing blood circulation and lymphatic drainage improving the supply of oxygen and nutrients to tissues aiding in healing and repair.
- Increase joint mobility by releasing muscle tension and stiffness around joints.
- Improve postural alignment: Stress, anxiety and long periods sitting at work often result in the tightening of muscle groups causing shoulder, neck and lower back pain.
- Improve skin tone and break up scar tissue
- Help lower high blood pressure
- Relief of symptoms for conditions such as arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis or Asthma by reducing the secondary effects of induced muscle tension and aid blood circulation.
- Alleviate headaches, migraines and improve your quality of sleep
- Post activity sports massage can help eject the build-up of metabolic waste generated by exercise, such as lactates, and ease delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS) and muscle fatigue.
If you suffer from any of these symptoms, massage therapy can help:
- Sciatica/Piriformis syndrome
- Neck/shoulder pain

Mayumi has a deep interest in natural therapies. Having sadly lost her mother to cancer at a young age due to long term prescribed use of steroids she was determined to look for natural alternatives.
“Our body is so amazing that it knows how to balance back naturally. We just need to take some time to treat ourselves. Remedial massage is a beautiful natural therapy. It is not only for sports people but for everyone that suffers from back, neck and shoulder stiffness from desk-based work, chronic fatigue, poor circulation, low energy, emotional issues and anxiety or depression,”
Mayumi has over 15 years of experience working as a massage therapist. She is trained in remedial deep tissue massage (transvers friction), trigger point therapy, PNF stretching, Swedish relaxation massage, lymphatic drainage, acupressure, reflexology, aromatherapy, pregnancy massage and first aid.
